Sej (b. 1992) is an Indian contemporary realist painter whose work centers on the human form and condition, rendered with emotive precision and psychological depth. She was awarded 1st place in the prestigious Florence Academy of Art Scholarship and is also a recipient of the Scottsdale Art School Scholarship and the Raja Ravi Varma Award at Jehangir Art Gallery.
Her training includes mentorship under celebrated artists such as Julio Reyes, Lee Price, David Gray, Daniel Bilmes, and Jura Bedic.
Sej’s recent milestone includes a painting sent to the moon as part of a time capsule project in collaboration with SpaceX and the Lunar Codex.
She is represented by Abend Gallery and 33 Contemporary, with recent exhibitions in Oslo and India through Project Artdom and Gallery Frida Art House.

Sej continues to create a versatile body of work and spends her time equally between her studios in India and the United States - continuously unveiling her "existential query" through creativity.
