The composition beautifully portrays two young girls, their delicate features illuminated by the warm glow of diyas. The use of oil pastels masterfully captures the interplay of light and shadow with rich creamy texture which in itself gave me the inspiration to build a bridge between the two works creating a luminous effect that mirrors the festive warmth of the celebration.
